Keywords Have Tails?!
No! But to put it simply you can incorporate keywords together to form sentances like: “How To Earn Money Online” which is a Long Tail Keyword. Whereas, “Money” is a Short Tail Keyword.
What Is The Difference?
As in the example above, it will be in the competition and also the mindset of the searcher. You see there are over 3,210,000,000 (that’s right..BILLION) websites on Money. But only 46,000,000 on How To Earn Money Online! The real difference though is actually in the mindset. You see whoever is searching for Money is probably just wanting to learn about it. The person searching for How To Earn Money Online is a LOT more targeted as a potential customer. They are seeking out how to do something and potentially pay for that knowledge.
Your Strategy For Long Tail Keywords
You will want to rank in the top of Google for 5-7 Long Tail Keywords that would be what your customer is typing in to look for a solution…That solution is the product YOU are selling and because you’re the first result you’ll get great quality traffic. Watch video for an example of long tail keywords. They can comprise of how to, where to, find, buy, for sale at the end or beginning. Google will also suggest keywords.
You will want to make your own assessment using their Keyword tool and see if they get over 100,000 COMBINED searched for your chosen keywords.
How To Become Your Customer
You must profile your Ideal Customer. Meaning be in a quite place and think about what THEY would type in to Google if they had a problem to solve. The problem being the benefits of you product you sell. Then you need to figure out the words they would type in. Example: Earn money fast, earn money online now etc etc. Literally put yourself in their shoes and then research and test it out! Once you’ve picked your keywords simply keep adding content to your site and keep persisting! Good luck!
